Boats and seas

In social studies we have be looking at the refugee crisis in Syria and we listened to a song called boats and seas.Then we were allowed to write a poem about it and I choose to write one.

Forced on boats to travel seas just so they can be free

Forced to see what no one should see

Forced to live the lives they live

Forced to leave it all behind for a better life

Forced on boats to travel seas just so they can be free

This is all we see

On the news

And in the paper

Because it is what matters

Not who married who

Not who scored the winning goal

But we do nothing

What is wrong with humanity
